Dear Reader,
After spending many years working in the education system, I
finally discovered the answer.
My question was, "Why are schools failing to deliver effective
models and rational approaches to learning?" "Why are
students and teachers the victims of problems they did not create?"
The truth may shock you, then again you may already know this
to be true.
Political problems and education don't mix.
This answer clicked after being introduced to NeoTech, a system
of knowledge based on honest inquiry about the world around me.
Before I read this literature, I went to work, followed orders,
and rarely questioned anything. I gave up thinking that, even
as a school principal, I could make a change. I didn't understand
why creative ideas that could benefit students and teachers were
not accepted. Neo-Tech literature sparked my imagination with
new possiblities and at the same time allowed me to avoid the
problems associated with politics.
I now understand why. The system that I was working in was stagnant.
And change was seen as a threat, even though change was needed
to benefit everyone in the long run. In my business and personal
life, I have realized the dynamic power of systems of knowledge
that encourage growth, creativity, and the production of values
that benefit society. Neo-Tech literature opened my eyes to a
larger-than-life world filled with unlimited opportunity.
Before this realization, I felt many times that my life was standing
still. I felt powerless to create the positive change needed
in order to keep my dreams alive. Too many times I have come
up against the distractions caused by people who didn't care.
Can you relate? The distractions that I speak of happen when
new ideas are stopped, and the creative flow of energy is restricted.
This is a large problem that affects many people who work in
corporations and government institutions.
Today, these problems don't affect me anymore. The problems have
disappeared, and a clear path to achievement lies ahead of me.
Getting to this point has taken me an entire career working as
a principal in the public education system.
During this time I experienced great joy helping students to
learn and grow, at the same time many days were filled with frustration
as I witnessed, first hand, the negative effects political problems
have on education. Decisions that were made to support the students
and teachers, all too often benefitted everyone except
the students and teachers.
When politics mix with education, the results many times are
negative and self-defeating..
Working in a school system infected with bureaucracy, red tape,
and politics for 20 years has finally motivated me to speak up,
and do something about it.
As I said before, I felt frustrated and powerless until I discovered
a new system of thinking that identifies how to eliminate the
problems politics create by eliminating these distractions all
together. This is done by empowering the students and teachers
with choice, and by eliminating the interference of anything
that doesn't have to do with the continuing success of our teachers
and students.
The book that I have written, EduTec, is a model for a new education
system free of the problems of politics. This book outlines a
wider-perspective and demonstrates how politics and education
don't mix. Whether you have children, or not, you will be amazed
at how many distractions and problems our public schools have
to deal with. It's a wonder that these educational systems can
continue. The sad part of it is that many of our school systems
are not able to continue. Schools across the country are failing
due to poor management, political problems, and misappropriated
funding. This can be changed by giving the power back to the
students and teachers who make learning possible. |
